If you’re buying timberland or any type of land Turner is your guy, most realtors deal in mainly houses and have less experience with land. Turner knows land values, timber values and land overall. Claire Dee, Land Professional with National Land Realty, is nothing less than awesome.

In 2022, I inherited vacant land in Virginia. Soon thereafter, I began receiving dozens of initial offers from various companies/individuals to buy/sell the property at acceptable prices. However, they hadn’t done their homework. As soon as I disclosed the property was “landlocked,” all communication ceased except for two. The first offered less than 20% of county’s tax assessment value. The second offered less than 60%. I declined.

Luckily, Claire Dee reached out to me in 2023. In her initial communication, she correctly characterized the property as a timber parcel and asked me to confirm it was “landlocked.” Clearly, she had done research prior to her initial contact with me. So, I called her. After explaining my doubts about ever being able to sell landlocked property, she responded, “I like a challenge!”

We kept in touch with each other for the next two years. She would periodically reach out to me to provide updates, even if there was really no new news. I was extremely impressed that, when I called her without advanced warning, she would be immediately familiar with my specific case and was even able to remind me of facts to which I had not remembered. She was able to bring an adjoining landowner to the table, someone who I was never able to get to respond to my numerous written correspondences, emails, or telephone messages.

In 2025, Claire Dee contacted me with the news that the adjoining landowner was willing to purchase the property at our asking price. Because the parcel was landlocked, special provisions needed to be covered in the contract. Claire Dee expeditiously made contractual changes to the original (changes were advised by my attorney) and quickly disseminated the revised purchase agreement for signatures. Other issues arose during the title search delaying closing. Claire Dee took everything in stride and helped keep me informed of its status, often communicating progress being made by the title company. I am thrilled to report closing occurred in October.

I do have one major concern! I’ve come to enjoy my communications with Claire Dee. She was always very pleasant and upbeat regardless of whether the topic was “progress being made” or “temporary setbacks.” Now that our business is concluded, I will miss conversing with her.

I recently had the pleasure to work with both Casey Reynolds (Broker) and Parker Breuel (Agent) regarding the sale of a piece of property that had been in our family for over eighty years. It was a unique piece of property, but not without its challenges. From the very beginning I was impressed with their professionalism. Very quickly it became obvious that they understood the property, how to market it, and who to market it to.

Throughout the process the communication was outstanding. While they had numerous clients, I always felt like when I was talking to them that I was 1 of 1. I always received a call before the property was shown and a follow-up call with any feedback they had received after the showing. Normally, I would call Parker whenever I had a question, but I felt comfortable calling Parker or Casey. They always answered the phone or called back in a reasonable amount of time.

An important point I would like to stress is when I ask either for their opinion, they never told me what I wanted to hear. They were always very kind and honest and told me what I needed to hear to get the property sold. I cannot express how much I appreciated that.

It was a true pleasure to work to with both of them. If I ever have more land to sell, Parker and Casey will be who I call.
