About Me

Lou Ann was raised in the Blue Ridge foothills in Martinsville, VA. She graduated cum laude in 1985 with an A.S. in Business Administration. For five years, she was an assistant controller for a property management company in Richmond, VA. Along with her husband, Chuck, she has been investing in rural land and property development projects in Highland County, VA, for over 29 years. For over 15 years, she was owner and lead farmer at Riven Rock Farm, where she raised heritage breed cattle, sheep, and pigs, and chased her passion for providing clean grass-fed food to her customers. Riven Rock Farm used organic practices and rotational grazing methods on over 750 acres. Property management came back into the picture with two rental properties on the farm.

Lou Ann served on the Highland County library board. She also served on the Highland County Chamber of Commerce for six years, three of those as Vice-President. Her free time is spent tending to her organic garden and maintaining the property. She also travels with Chuck, shooting competitive archery, and loves square dancing when the opportunity presents itself. Lou Ann enjoys helping clients find that perfect rural getaway or farm here in the Allegheny Highlands.
