Stan Swofford was born and raised in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Throughout his life, he has resided in Hampton, Jasper, and Beaufort counties. After graduating from high school as salutatorian of his class, he attended Georgia Southern University for 4 years in Statesboro, GA, where he graduated with honors. While there, he was vice president of the Construction Management Guild, a member of the GSU design-build competition team, and attained a B.S. in Construction Management with a minor in Business, also taking classes in both Marketing and Real Estate. He was also a committee member of the Delta Waterfowl Student Chapter at GSU, helping to raise money for wetlands and waterfowl conservation. Stan enjoys going to visit new places and meeting new people but is always glad to get back to the state of South Carolina, a place that he has always been proud to call home.

Stan previously worked almost 5 years as a Project Manager and Estimator for a General Contractor who specialized in Commercial, Residential, and Design-Build projects.  There he learned a great deal about not only building design and the construction process, but also client relations and customer service, as well as how to be a great communicator and manager.  Prior to joining National Land Realty, he worked with Weichert Realtors Coastal Properties in their Bluffton, SC office.  He attributes his success to hard work, persistence, and creativeness; and considers himself to be an outside of the box, forward thinker who always strives for excellence.  Stan earned the National Land Realty "Rising Star Award" for 2017.  Recently, he attained his South Carolina Real Estate Broker License and was named a Managing Broker with NLR.  Stan has opened and is now running the new "Lowcountry Office" for NLR, which he's located in his hometown of Grays, SC (Early Branch, SC address).

Stan enjoys spending a lot of time on his family property and hunting land between Early Branch and Grays, SC.  He is an active hunter in Jasper, Hampton, Colleton, and Allendale Counties.  He has a chocolate lab as a hunting companion and best friend named Mox.  He is an active member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.  His many interests include hunting, fishing, watching and following sports, boating, playing golf, and real estate!  One of his favorite quotes is, “You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore”.
