About Me
Scott Lindsley joined National Land Realty in March 2025, bringing over 34 years of North Carolina real estate experience. With his deep understanding of both urban and rural real estate markets, Scott specializes in helping clients find the perfect NC homestead, acreage, or investment property.
Throughout his career, Scott has built and managed multiple successful real estate businesses. From 1991 to 2001, he owned and operated Lindsley Appraisal Services, where he grew the firm from a solo operation to a team of eight handling residential appraisals. In 2001, he founded Urban Realty, expanding the brokerage to 18 agents before the 2008 recession. Afterward, Scott worked with My Townhome Realty & MTH Developer Services, focusing on residential and new condominium and townhome sales. In 2012, he launched Janus Real Estate, a boutique brokerage specializing in investment properties and residential real estate, where he served clients independently for over a decade.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Appalachian State University, and speaks a decent bit of Spanish. He also manages Good Company, a nonprofit working with community groups and events in Charlotte, NC, where he lived and worked for over three decades.
Scott is passionate about North Carolina farmland, homesteads, and acreages with potential for agricultural or recreational use. Four years ago, he relocated to the Asheville area with his husband, Joey, and is actively developing their 103-acre property, Linwell Falls, located between Black Mountain and Chimney Rock, NC. Their land, which features a permaculture farm, trails, and future plans for cabins and camping, reflects Scott's commitment to sustainable living and land stewardship.
Scott enjoys cooking, gardening, and growing food on their homestead. He and Joey have been together since 2003 and were officially married in 2014. They share their home with their beloved dog and "farm border patrol agent," Lottie Dottie Peppercorn.
