About Me

Katie Wilding joined the National Land Realty team of Land Professionals in March 2024, bringing with her 25 years of extensive experience in forestry and timberland management. Based in Western Kentucky, Katie has served as a Research Forester and Wildland Firefighter with the Kentucky Division of Forestry for 17 years and is the proud owner of Wild Indigo Forestry, where she’s worked as a consulting forester for the past 6 years. Notably, Katie made history as the first female ACF (Association of Consulting Foresters) in the state of Kentucky. She also helped with raptor rehabilitation for 10 years.

Katie’s expertise in Kentucky land management and timber appraisals makes her an invaluable resource for clients looking to buy or sell land. Katie's knowledge includes an understanding of past land and timber values, as well as timber/wildlife management. She also volunteers and teaches educational programs and courses in forestry.

Katie lives on 10 acres in Western Kentucky with her two children along with their dogs, cats, chickens, and fish. In her free time, she enjoys painting, growing native flowers, canoeing, bird watching, and spending time outdoors with her family.
