Colt Smith joined the National Land Realty team of Land Professionals in March 2024, bringing with him a lifetime of experience in rural Missouri agricultural land and habitat management in the Ozarks. Growing up on his family’s farm in the Ozarks bordering the Finley River, Colt and his family raised and showed a variety of registered beef cattle over the years. From 2011-2012, Colt studied ag education at North Arkansas College, before going on to work with his father’s business, Unique Farm Services, providing farm drainage solutions through land shaping and pattern tile for ag land investors. Colt also has extensive experience in farm water management, drainage, and crop production in Central MO. In 2018, Colt became the owner of Modern Earth, a landscaping, excavating, and land improvement company which he still operates. He is an active member of LICA (Land Improvement Contractors of America), the Missouri Native Plants Society, and the National Wild Turkey Federation. In his free time, Colt enjoys hunting for turkey and working to improve game habitats on their properties through food plot management and prescribed burning.
