2026 National Land Summit Recap
Earlier this month, our team of Brokers and Land Professionals convened in Louisville, KY, for the 2026 National Land Summit! This annual event connects real estate experts from around the country for three days of informational presentations, networking opportunities, and recognition of National Land Realty’s achievements over the past year.
This year’s event was hosted at the Hilton Omni Hotel in downtown Louisville and kicked off on Sunday evening with a Super Bowl party hosted at the Parlay Sports Bar. Our team enjoyed an open bar and fantastic food while they watched the game.
Day 1
Day 1 of the conference began with an introduction to our new CEO, Doug Adams, where he outlined his vision for the company and a few of the short-term goals the admin team plans to pursue at the onset of his tenure. Following Mr. Adams’ speech, business strategist with AI for Business, Brian Hanson, demonstrated how real estate professionals can utilize AI to produce marketing collateral, practice sales techniques, collect data, and more.
Next up was Broker and Head of National Land Realty’s Commercial Division, Pete Mazeine, along with representatives from Samara Land Partners, for an in-depth discussion on identifying commercial development opportunities and how our commercial team can assist in navigating the complexities of commercial real estate deals. After a short break for lunch provided by the excellent Omni staff, Mike O’Toole and Joseph Michaletz with Disciplined Advisors took the stage for an overview of Delaware Statutory Trusts and how this tool can be used to benefit their clients and limit capital gains exposure.
The group then split for the first round of breakout sessions, with AR Land Broker and Head of National Land Realty’s Auctions Division Joel King presenting on the ways that the auctions division can assist our team with facilitating land auctions from start to finish. In the other room, CEO for BEC, Marcus Cringler, illustrated tax strategies for agents to maximize their profits and limit tax exposure.
After the breakout sessions wrapped up, everyone reconvened for the final presentation of Day 1: an economic outlook led by economist Dr. Mark Dotzour. Drawing on decades of experience advising real estate professionals and private investors, Dr. Dotzour shared timely insights on the 2026 economy and what land professionals should be watching in the months ahead. That evening, attendees congregated at the Frazier Kentucky History Museum for the welcome event, where they enjoyed a lively night of music and bourbon tasting, plus plenty of time to connect with colleagues and sponsors outside the conference room.

Day 2
Day 2 began bright and early with Breakfast Roundtables, giving attendees the chance to network with sponsors and fellow Land Professionals over breakfast. Next up was a panel discussion featuring National Land Realty’s top-producing agents on what’s working in today’s market, including strategies for earning more listings, improving conversion rates, and staying consistent through shifting conditions. The panel featured Clint Flowers, Alec Wardenburg, Shannon Schlachter, and Edward Weathers, who each offered practical takeaways and real-world perspectives from the field.
Following a short break, Chief Marketing Officer Mac Christian delivered a presentation on the tools and tactics high-performing agents use to market properties and close more deals. After Mac’s session, Director of Licensing and Compliance Jeramy Stephens spoke on the importance of legal compliance in real estate and why this role was recently created, highlighting how staying proactive can help reduce liability as industry risks and scams continue to rise.
After lunch, CEO Doug Adams returned to the stage to introduce National Land Realty’s Commission Enhancement and Growth Program. This initiative was meticulously designed to strengthen the company, reward agent success, and support continued growth.
The afternoon featured another round of breakout sessions, with two practical topics aimed at helping agents improve both their business and long-term financial outlook. In one room, Marcus Cringler (CEO of BEC) shared wealth management strategies focused on turning today’s income into generational wealth. In the other breakout, CRM Manager Joe Diano walked attendees through Follow Up Boss, answering common questions and demonstrating ways to get the most out of National Land Realty’s CRM.
To wrap up the final day of sessions, Dr. Megan Lyons delivered a presentation focused on working smarter, not harder. Her session explored research-backed strategies to optimize brain function, manage stress, and make better use of time.
The day concluded with a heartfelt thank-you to the Summit speakers, sponsors, and support crew who worked behind the scenes to make the event possible. Attendees then transitioned into the Awards Banquet, beginning with a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by dinner and an evening dedicated to celebrating our team’s achievements. The event was capped off with a rousing keynote speech from CEO Doug Adams.
Congratulations to all of the following Summit awards recipients, and thank you for your continued dedication to National Land Realty!
