National Land Realty Hosts Inaugural Golf Tournament

September 13, 2024

On Friday, September 6th, National Land Realty held its inaugural golf tournament, bringing together agents and brokers from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia for a day out on the course. Sponsored by AgSouth Farm Credit, the event took place at the beautiful River Falls Plantation Golf Course in Duncan, South Carolina.

The day kicked off with a keynote speech by David Gorenburg of Land 1031, who shared valuable insights into 1031 exchanges, highlighting key “dos and don’ts.” Following his presentation, Spencer Floyd, Regional Lending Manager of AgSouth, officially opened the tournament, and attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch.

After lunch, 28 golfers were divided into seven teams and split off in a 4 person scramble. In addition to the main tournament, several special competitions were held, including a “closest to the pin” and “longest drive” contest.

National Land Realty’s very own CEO, Ronnie Richardson, claimed the “closest to the pin” title on hole 11, while Wade Biltoft of Three Oaks Engineering won the same contest on hole 15. AgSouth Farm Credit’s Corporate Relationship Manager, Matt Riddle, took home the longest drive award. Three prize options were available to the winners of the special competition including a bottle of Blanton’s bourbon, a Ping golf bag, and a gift basket with golf and cigar supplies.

The overall tournament champions were Land Broker Bobby Spivey, Land Professional Nick Ardis, Regional Lending Manager Spencer Floyd, and CEO Ronnie Richardson. Honorable mention goes to the second-place team, comprised of Land Professional Taylor Baumgarner, Land Broker Corbin Beeson, PulteGroup’s Director of Land Acquisition Nick Myers, and AgSouth Loan Officer Brody Buffington. The two teams took home cash prizes.

The event was a tremendous success, and we look forward to next year’s golf tournament! A special thank you to AgSouth Farm Credit for sponsoring, River Falls Plantation for hosting, and Land 1031 for providing an informative presentation on reverse exchanges.
