Protecting Your Property From Land Fraud
“With many of these scams, there’s always an excuse not to meet face to face. There’s also an urgency to get the deal done very quickly and a lack of transparency about property details or other information. These are always red flags. When you see these things, you should take additional steps to make sure you know who you’re working with,” stated AR Land Broker Jeramy Stephens during a recent interview on RFD-TV.
Stephens went on to discuss what landowners should do if they suspect land fraud, recommending they get in touch with a Land Professional or attorney who can evaluate the credibility of the messages they’ve received. He also laid out some common giveaways that expose land fraud schemes.
