Matthew Brownlee joined the National Land Realty team of Land Professionals in January 2024, bringing with him over 2 years of real estate experience! Before coming to National Land Realty Matthew received his associate's degree from Piedmont Technical College and went to work for the SC FFA Association as well as the SC Governor’s School for Agriculture. He is an active member of the SC Farmer and Agribusiness Association and a volunteer for local FFA and 4-H organizations. Matthew is a board member of the Laurens County Farm Bureau and Chairman of the Young Farmer and Rancher group. He was elected to the Rabon Creek Watershed Conservation District in Laurens County in 2022 and is a candidate for Laurens County Council in the 2024 General Election.

After being raised on his family's farm and caring for the land his entire life, Matthew recognizes and values the time and effort it takes to cultivate healthy crops, maintain the land for animal usage, and deal with weather, pests, and other issues that require proactive problem-solving. Having this background gives him valuable knowledge of not only understanding the land but also being a guide and resource to landowners to manage their land effectively and bring value to the table.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys hunting deer, ducks, turkeys, and more. He can also be found fishing or hiking the Upstate mountains as well as the Appalachian Trail in NC, TN, and VA. Matthew currently resides on his family’s 5th-generation farm in Hickory Tavern where he spends time working and sharing ideas with other farmers in his area.
