About Me

Matthew Behr joined National Land Realty in November 2024, bringing a diverse background and a passion for helping clients buy and sell land in Northwest Georgia. With a B.S. in Forest Management and a minor in Mathematics from Colorado State University, Matthew combines forestry knowledge with a practical understanding of rural land, making him a valuable land agent for those looking to buy or sell land in Georgia.

Before entering the land industry, Matthew operated his own licensed massage therapy business, Behr Bodywork, for a decade, managing three studio locations in Denver, CO. He also gained sales and promotions experience with The Denver Post, which sharpened his communication and marketing skills. An FAA UAS Drone License holder and member of the Society of American Foresters, Matthew uses advanced land photography to enhance property listings and support clients looking to sell their land.

In May 2024, Matthew and his wife, Malia, moved to Rome, GA, where they live with their two dogs, two bunnies, and a baby on the way. Outside of work, he enjoys backpacking, a good cup of coffee, and playing guitar. I've known Matthew, both personally and professionally for more than 15 years. Boy oh boy! Time really flies when you think about it! Matthew is a super competent professional who applies great attention to detail, a razor-sharp mind and great humor to everything he does. There was a time, many years ago when Matt and I studied together for a number of days to make a presentation. I have to confess, Matthew had a much stronger grasp of the material and developed a much stronger presentation that I had. Thankfully, we weren't competitors. Matt and I cooperated to help each other grow. The main thing about Matt is he's a guy you can count on. No need to trust me on this. You'll see as soon as you start working with him.
