About Me

As a sixth-generation farmer with a career rooted in agriculture, conservation, and land stewardship, Arthur Wisecup understands that land represents a family’s livelihood, history, and future. Based in Maryville, Tennessee, Arthur brings extensive experience in precision agriculture, soil health, conservation, and farm operations to his work with National Land Realty.

Before transitioning into real estate, Arthur spent nearly 12 years as an independent agricultural professional and farmhand in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He operated GPS-guided equipment, helped optimize crop production and input efficiency, and worked directly with John Deere’s software development team to provide technical guidance for the Soil Health Tab within the John Deere Operations Center. He also advised on agricultural carbon programs and spoke at regional agricultural events about conservation practices, soil health, and precision technology.

Arthur’s commitment to conservation extends well beyond his work on the farm. From 2023 to 2026, he served as a Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioner in Harrison County, Iowa, working with landowners, agricultural producers, and state agencies on watershed protection, erosion control, and land stewardship initiatives. He also served on the Iowa Corn Board and Iowa Corn Research Committee, giving him experience with agricultural policy, research, sustainability, and the issues affecting landowners and producers. In 2019, Arthur was named the first-ever Pheasants Forever “Precision Farmer of the Year” in recognition of his leadership in precision agriculture and conservation stewardship.

Arthur works with landowners and buyers in Tennessee who are looking to make informed decisions about their property. Whether you are looking to sell land in Blount County, buy land in Tennessee, or find a knowledgeable land agent near Knoxville, TN, Arthur provides a perspective shaped by firsthand experience with farming, conservation, and land management. His background is especially valuable for clients interested in TN farmland, recreational land, rural property, wildlife habitat, and TN land management. He understands the connection people have with their land and the importance of protecting its value and potential for future generations.

Arthur earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Biology and a minor in Leadership Studies from Doane University. He also received a Public Service Award from Missouri Valley, Iowa, in 2021 for his civic leadership and community engagement.

Arthur lives in Maryville with his fiancée, Mary Lane, along with their dog, Jameson, and farm cat, Henry. Outside of real estate and agriculture, he enjoys golfing, fishing, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers, NASCAR, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
