We ARE the Land Industry: Jeremy Oehlert
At NLR, We treat all people with dignity and respect.
Treating others with dignity and respect is the simplest and most basic foundation of being a good member of society that we are taught as children. How many times did our pre-school teachers remind us to treat others the way we would want to be treated? Probably hundreds of times!
Unfortunately, as we grow up and become adults, common sense isn’t always common practice. It is, however, for Jeremy Oehlert, who practices this principle every day in his role at National Land and in his personal life.
“To be honest, it’s hard for me to believe sometimes that our society is at a point that this becomes a question. I was raised to respect others and believe it’s a core value that’s as important as any aspect of our business, and just as vital in our everyday personal lives. To me, these values are no-brainers and feel that they should be for everyone. Treat others how you want to be treated, no matter the person, date, time, weather or circumstance.”
Jeremy’s had several years of experience in the land business, exercising this practice with all types of clients from all walks of life. As a Land Broker based in Kansas, a family man and avid outdoorsman, Jeremy is a true example of this incredibly important principle included in our company culture statement. He is always willing to help others and lend useful advice. So, when we asked him what his one piece of advice to any new agent or broker would be, he said,
“To keep the client’s or customer’s needs as #1 priority. If you focus on their needs, you will also eventually make money and additional opportunities will come from those relationships. Plus, you’ll obtain an extremely high level of satisfaction from helping others achieve their goals that a paycheck alone can’t provide.”
And when asking Jeremy about company culture, he said, “Culture to me is about the beliefs, values and actions of a group. I believe the culture built by NLR speaks to the character of the leadership group and the type of people they’ve been able to add to the team.”
“I’m just happy to be a small part of this group of like-minded, God-loving people with common goals in both our business and personal lives.”
