Is National Land Realty the Right Fit for Your Real Estate Career?

July 25, 2025

I’ve been with National Land Realty since July of 2022, and during that time, I’ve spent a ton of time discussing what National Land Realty brings to the table as compared to other brokerages. If you are interested in getting your real estate license to solely focus on land, are tired of the traditional brokerage, or simply looking for a more rewarding way to grow your business, you are not alone.

At National Land Realty, we do things differently, and agents are taking notice. Take a look at some of the most frequently asked questions that I receive to help you decide if National Land Realty is the right fit for your next move!

1. Do I need to have experience in land sales?

Experience in land sales? Not necessarily. A passion for the land industry? Absolutely. Many of our top-performing agents transitioned from residential or commercial real estate. Others have strong ties to land (i.e. land surveyors, foresters, conservation specialists, hunting guides), so, at the end of the day, it comes down to building trust and being knowledgeable.

At National Land, we provide training, mentorship, and access to an entire community of land experts ready to help you succeed. You bring the hustle, we’ll bring the resources!

2. What Kind of Support Will I Get?

We offer support on a local and national level. Local support involves direct mentorship from your Managing Broker (i.e. how to fill out a contract, shadowing in client meetings, or touring properties) as well as hosting daily or weekly meetings with their team. On a National level, National Land Realty’s Support Crew is genuinely excited to help you grow your business. Time = money, right?

Our Support Crew makes it possible for you to spend more time shaking hands with landowners while we help behind the scenes with lead generation, marketing collateral, mapping, etc. Aside from access to our Support Crew, we host ongoing training sessions every month to make sure you are consistently set up for success and get your questions answered.

3. What Are the Commission Splits Like?

Our Commission structure is designed to help you grow and keep more of what you earn. There are no hidden fees and no required office costs. Commission splits look a little different for every agent we bring on.

Our Leadership Team bases commission splits on a few factors, including: the amount of training needed to get you up to speed, how long you have been in the industry, and what your gross commissions have been over the last 2-3 years.

4. What Marketing Resources Are Available to Me?

Our Marketing team is made up of some extremely talented individuals, including a Content Marketing Specialist, CRM Marketing Specialist, Graphic Designer, Social Media Coordinator, and Digital Marketing Specialist. What does this mean for you? Well, you won’t have to stay up until midnight trying to create flyers or social media templates in Canva…we’ve got you covered.

Our full-service marketing team helps with listing materials, digital ads, email campaigns, video content, etc. They also work hard behind the scenes to make sure your listings are seen by the right audience.

5. What is Land Tour 360®?

Land Tour 360® is our proprietary virtual touring system that allows buyers to explore property from anywhere, as if they were walking it in person. It combines drone footage, 360-degree imagery, and interactive mapping to create an immersive, remote land-viewing experience. This touring technology is available only for National Land Realty agents.

6. Do you focus on one specific type of land?

National Land Realty’s name allows us to let buyers and sellers know that we cover all things land, which means you can focus on one niche or whatever gets brought to the table.

Aside from rural land (recreational, hunting, timber, ag land), National Land Realty has a dedicated commercial team that focuses on land zoned for commercial, industrial, or residential use. We also have an Auction and Leasing Division for our landowners interested in taking that route. All-in-all, no matter what a landowner may need, we have them covered.

7. What Sets National Land Realty Apart From Other Brokerages

At National Land Realty, we’re not a franchise, which means our agents don’t have to pay a fee out of their commission just to use our name or branding. Our brand stands strong on its own, offering the flexibility to work with all types of land and property, from recreational tracts to ranches to commercial assets.

What truly sets us apart, though, is our proprietary technology that equips our agents with industry-leading tools to serve clients more effectively, market properties more strategically, and close deals more efficiently.

If you are curious about making a move or just want to learn more about National Land, we’re here to answer any questions – no pressure, no hard pitch. Whether you are exploring a better commission split, want to work with a team that truly understands land, looking for support so you can focus on your deals, we’d love to connect!
