Federal Assistance Programs’ Impact on Farmland Market
“For landowners, these payments will keep some of them from liquidating farmland to pay debt and can help them maintain relationships with tenants to continue producing. Overall, I think this payment comes at a good time,” stated Land Broker Jeramy Stephens during an interview on RFD-TV this week.
Stephens went on to discuss the resilience of current farmland values, markets to watch in 2026, and farm price predictions for the new year. He did not foresee massive increases in land values in the coming months, but stressed the importance of local sales knowledge and understanding land values in your specific county and region.
