How Real Estate Agents Can Use Facebook
Is getting started with Facebook a daunting task for you? In this article of my social media help series, I am going to give you three tips on good practices you can use to improve your Facebook skills.
- Take Facebook’s Blueprint classes. Facebook offers over 80 FREE courses to help educate you. They all take about 15 minutes and are in easy-to-digest snippets. Here are my recommendations for beginner classes:
- Set up every aspect of your page. Facebook gives you the option to add services to your page, fill these out with everything you do and explain how valuable it is. You can also set up “milestones.” Use these to tell your story. Add a milestone for when you joined NLR, add another one when you had a big sale or gained your Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation. And don’t forget the basics of adding a cover photo/video filling out the “About” section and adding your address and phone number.
- Use your page to create community. Invite your friends to like your page and others who interact with your posts. Then, interact back with them. Respond to their comments and thank them for being involved with your work. Ask questions using polls to get to know your followers and once you do, tailor your content to what they like.
