About Me

Wes Oates joined National Land Realty in May 2026 following a 35-year career in business and banking. With corporate finance experience in the hospitality, gaming, retail, and automotive manufacturing industries, along with more than two decades at Wachovia and Wells Fargo, Wes is excited to begin a new chapter helping clients buy and sell land in North Carolina.

Wes' strong analytical background and attention to detail transfer well to serving his real estate clients. His business experience and lifelong passion for the outdoors make him a trusted agent for landowners and buyers of farms, recreational land, hunting property and investment opportunities.

Wes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University and an MBA with a finance concentration from the University of Memphis. Outside of real estate, he enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, hunting, and fishing. He is also active in his community as a volunteer for Nourish Up, serving as a Meals on Wheels driver, Food Share coordinator, and event volunteer.

Wes and his wife, Courtney, live in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are the proud parents of five adult children and have two grandchildren, with another on the way.
