About Me

Scott Flynn has spent his career helping people protect, improve, and get more out of the land they own. After 15 years in agricultural research and development with Corteva Agriscience, he brings a science-based understanding of land management, invasive plant control, and conservation to his work with National Land Realty. Based in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Scott is passionate about helping landowners make informed decisions while preserving the qualities that make their properties meaningful for generations to come.

From 2011 to 2026, Scott worked as a scientist with Corteva Agriscience, conducting hundreds of research trials focused on managing invasive plant species across pastures, rangeland, natural areas, conservation areas, rights-of-way, and recreational properties. He served as Zonal Biology Leader for North America from 2018 to 2023 before becoming Global Biology Leader from 2023 to 2026. Throughout his career, Scott spoke nationally about land management, supported commercial teams and customers around the world, and provided one-on-one guidance to land managers. He also contributed to two college textbooks, Forages Volume 1: An Introduction to Grassland Agriculture and Forages Volume 2: The Science of Grassland Agriculture.

Scott holds a Ph.D. in Crop Production and Physiology from Iowa State University, with a minor in Statistics and a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He also earned a master’s degree in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Kentucky and a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, with a minor in Business, from Eastern Kentucky University. His professional accomplishments include multiple industry and innovation awards recognizing his contributions to agriculture, forage science, and research and development. Scott also served in the Kentucky National Guard and was a squad leader during Operation Joint Forge in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2003.

For Scott, land ownership is about more than financial value. Through years of working with farmers, ranchers, and other landowners, he has seen how deeply people care about the land they manage and the legacy they leave behind. He brings that perspective to clients looking to sell land in Missouri, buy land in Missouri, or find a knowledgeable land agent in Lee’s Summit, MO. His background is especially relevant for buyers and sellers interested in MO hunting land, recreational property, farmland, pastureland, and MO land management. Serving the greater Kansas City metro area, Scott works with landowners across Jackson County, Cass County, and communities throughout Missouri to help them understand their property’s potential and make decisions that align with their long-term goals.

Scott is an active member of Pheasants Forever and supports Quail Forever through social media and recruitment efforts. He also serves as treasurer of the Lee’s Summit West Lacrosse Board. Outside of work, he enjoys duck hunting, making knives, following Kansas City Chiefs football, and supporting his sons, Emmitt and Eli, in their extracurricular activities. He and his wife, Rebecca, have been married for 22 years and share their home with their Aussiedoodle, Zoey.
