About Me

Rich Johnson brings more than 25 years of experience in wildlife management, wetland restoration, and natural resource conservation to his role as a land agent in Arkansas. Before joining National Land Realty in July 2026, Rich spent 8 years with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as a State Wetland Biologist and 16 years with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), primarily working as a wildlife biologist on Wetland Reserve Easements. His extensive background gives him a unique perspective on the value, potential, and management of rural land across Arkansas.

Rich earned a B.S. in Wildlife Management from Louisiana Tech University and an M.S. in Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University. His professional experience has given him a deep understanding of wetland restoration, wildlife habitat, conservation practices, and the factors that can make recreational land especially valuable. With more than 15 years of experience working throughout the Arkansas Delta and more than 25 years of statewide experience, Rich has developed firsthand knowledge of Arkansas's diverse landscapes and rural properties.

Outside of real estate, Rich enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, spending time in the mountains and at the beach, and attending live music. Rich and his wife, Julie, have been married for 14 years and have two children, Rowan and Isla, along with their dog, Max. They live in central Arkansas near family.
