About Me

Nick Schaefer is an experienced land agent in IL who helps clients buy and sell property throughout Illinois. His background as a U.S. Army Military Intelligence Officer gave him a strong foundation in leadership, land and terrain analysis, and risk assessment. Nick led teams in studying land features and environmental factors, skills that now translate directly into evaluating farms, hunting properties, and recreational land.

In addition to his military career, Nick has managed large teams, supported customers, and solved complex operational challenges. Combined with his MBA from the University of Indiana Kelley School of Business, he offers clients advanced skills in negotiation, project management, and customer service. Whether landowners are ready to sell land in Illinois or buyers are looking for the right property, Nick’s professional experience ensures they receive knowledgeable and reliable guidance.

Nick has a personal passion for land and conservation. He volunteers with Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever and enjoys upland bird hunting with his three-year-old English Setter, Kenai. Together, they’ve traveled from Alaska to Arizona and many states in between, deepening Nick’s appreciation for land and its value. He and his wife, Polly, live in Bloomington, IL, with their three children.
