About Me

James Handey joined National Land Realty in August 2025, helping clients across Southeast Alabama with their land buying and selling needs. Based in Dothan, James primarily works with landowners in Kinston and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re looking to sell land in Alabama or buy land in Dothan, James brings both agricultural knowledge and personal experience in land management to every transaction.

James currently works for Nutrien Ag Solutions, where he sells seed, chemicals, and fertilizer, giving him daily hands-on experience in agriculture and a deep understanding of Alabama farmland. He earned his degree in Agricultural Business and Economics from Auburn University in December 2024, where he was also a member of Sigma Nu fraternity.

With years of experience managing recreational tracts, James has a strong background in Alabama hunting land and recreational properties, as well as farmland. His expertise in land management, combined with his agricultural career, allows him to help clients identify the right property for farming, hunting, or investment.

Outside of real estate, James is an active member of First Baptist Church, Dothan. He enjoys hunting, fishing, managing land, and grilling out with friends. He lives in Dothan with his English Cocker Spaniel, Waylon.
