About Me
Jacob Johnston is a dedicated IA real estate agent who brings decades of business leadership and real-world land ownership experience to every client relationship. Jacob joined National Land Realty in March 2025, driven by a lifelong passion for the outdoors and land stewardship.
Jacob has over 23 years of professional experience in management and operations, including more than two decades as a General Manager for Theisen’s, where he led a large retail team and ensured profitability and customer satisfaction. He now serves as the Regional Director for the National Wild Turkey Federation, where he supports conservation efforts and coordinates with outdoor professionals and landowners across the region.
Jacob’s background is rooted in both agriculture and residential real estate. While he is new to real estate sales, he is no stranger to the land transaction process. He has personally bought and sold multiple properties, navigated 1031 exchanges, and successfully purchased farmland in Iowa.
Jacob holds a degree in Business Management and Leadership from Northeast Iowa Community College and has completed professional training in sales strategy, communication, and body language analysis.
Jacob resides in Amana, Iowa, with his three Brittany dogs, whom he frequently takes bird hunting and hiking. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and exploring the outdoors.
