The Importance of Estate Planning for Landowners

“One of the first things we talk to [landowners] about when we start looking at a farm is why are you selling? What about your children? What’s your plan to divest this property? If their plan is to leave this to their children, then they need to start talking to us right now,” stated CEO of National Land Realty Ronnie Richardson regarding estate planning earlier this week on RFD-TV.

Richardson discussed the importance of estate planning and the reasons that landowners should start thinking about how they want their property to be passed on to their inheritors now rather than later.
