NLR Spotlight: Lizz Pingry, Marketing Director

Every innovative company needs a marketing guru, and National Land Realty is lucky to have it’s own. Lizz Pingry is NLR’s Marketing Director. She serves as a member of the Creative Team where she helps with the research, coordination, and implementation of marketing projects.

Lizz has worked in many different areas of the marketing and promotions industry. She first held an internship in college with Chicago Twenty Something, accomplishing everything from promotional events to marketing the business and individual clients. She also spent several years working for auto dealerships in Alabama doing similar things. At those jobs, she did everything from promotional booths and events to business development. There, she began to learn more about branding, running a web presence and market research.

Lizz was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs but studied at Purdue University in Indiana. For her undergraduate degree at Purdue, Lizz studied economics and minored in both entrepreneurship and international business. She was also a member of the co-ed cheerleading team at Purdue. “Cheerleaders are the original marketers,” Lizz said. “Always staying on brand, getting people excited about new things, chanting slogans, and being a huge part of promotions.”

What started out as cheering, showed her how much preparation and coordination it takes to pull off a successful game day, she said. “Everything from coordinating the lighting and music, being on the field, on TV, and on the sidelines was a huge part of executing a great event.”

As Lizz’s passion for marketing steadily increased, she knew she wanted to enhance her training after graduating from Purdue by earning a graduate degree in the field. In 2017, she finished the Masters of Science in Marketing program at Clemson University. “I loved that I could strictly focus on a marketing program, not just an MBA with a small marketing focus,” she said. “There, I had the opportunity to not only work closely with some of the top professors in the marketing field but also complete real-world marketing projects for two prominent companies.”

Now, Lizz has taken all of her experience and knowledge from her graduate program and has brought it to NLR.  “I love working at National Land because it allows me to push my own boundaries. The team here loves to be on the cutting edge and being in that competitive environment makes me excel at what I do.”

In her spare time, Lizz enjoys yoga, reading, and eating lots of junk food.
