How Real Estate Agents Can Use Instagram
In this article of my series, I’m going to give three tips on good practices you can use to improve your social media skills and talk about how instagram differs from other social media platforms.
1. Take Facebook’s Blueprint classes. Facebook offers over 80 FREE courses to help educate you on Facebook and Instagram. They all take about 15 minutes and are in easy-to-digest snippets. Here are my recommendations for beginner classes:
- Introduction to Instagram
- Instagram for Business
- Bring Your Business Story to Life with Instagram Stories
2. Have a business profile. If you are using social media for work, you need to be using a business profile. If you don’t have one yet, it’s very easy to go into your settings and switch over. Once you’ve done that, not only can you see insights into where your users are finding you, but you will have additional buttons users can use to contact you on your profile.
3. Tell your story. Instagram is a fun platform building on showing off who you are. As you have seen from the Blueprint classes, there are lots of functions on Instagram to tell your story. You can use Stories to show behind the scenes, your day-to-day or you can use the feed to show off the amazing shots of your property.
No matter what you do on social media, the first step is to start. Please feel free to reach out to your local Land Professional with any specific questions. Good luck!
