Travis Chaffin, III joined National Land Realty in September 2020. Before coming to National Land Realty, Travis worked for Carroll County Pulpwood and Timber Inc., a 3rd generation family business where he was a timber buyer and performed land management. He also worked for F&W Forestry Services as a forestry technician. Travis has 18+ years of experience in the timber business, and his favorite type of property to work is a beautiful stand of planted pine or a large property with a mix of timberland and open area for hunting or farmland.

Travis joined National Land Realty to have the opportunity to join other land professionals and to help people buy or sell their property. He hopes to combine his love for the land and his knowledge of timberland and investments with his networking skills to enjoy his work and help others enjoy their land.

What sets Travis apart from other land professionals is his lifelong experience in the timber procurement and wood dealership profession. He is deeply rooted in the land management and procurement industry in his area of Georgia. His family has owned a leading and long-lasting business that has helped many landowners with thousands of acres of land in west-central Georgia to maximize their timberland investments. He has a lot of experience in looking out for the landowner's best interests involving land for their financial investments and also their recreational enjoyment. His 18+ years in the timber industry make Travis very knowledgeable when it comes to timber market value on tracts of land, as well as what makes a good long-term investment when it comes to land management.

He received his Bachelors of Science in Forestry from Auburn University and is Master Timber Harvester certified in the state of Georgia. He is currently involved in the Southeastern Wood Producers Association and the American Tree Farm System, and he is a member of Mountville United Methodist Church.

Travis lives in Troup County, Georgia near LaGrange, with his wife Hannah and three children, Forrest, Lila, and Lawson. They own an English Cocker Spaniel named Birdie and have several other animals, including horses, goats, and chickens. They enjoy their animals and want their kids to grow up around them. His family is his greatest passion; he loves spending time with his kids and wife traveling and taking them to new places and experiences. In his free time, you can catch Travis hunting and farming.

Travis Chaffin is AWESOME!! We have worked with 7 realtors in the last 4 1/2 years as we searched for our retirement property. He answered all questions VERY quickly. We were never left wondering about anything. When we build in a few years, he WILL sell our current home if we have anything to say about it. It was a total pleasure working with Travis!!!!
