This tract, 143 acres, consists of 49 acres CRP pine and hardwood, paying $2,783 annually until 2022. Another 38 acres are planted hardwoods and 19 acres are in natural hardwoods and 33 acres are in mature hardwoods along Beouf River. There is a conservation plan in effect on part of the tract.
This very diverse habitat keeps deer year round. Deer are known to travel the wooded banks of Boeuf River, which is a natural corridor. Interior roads make for easy access to most of the the property, even in pretty wet conditions.
There are 6 box stands on the tract, strategically placed on either food plots or long, wide shooting lanes. The tract has good habitat back up and is adjacent to grain fields which attract many deer.
Access is from La. Highway 588. At the southwest corner of the tract is a boat launch for easy river access, to fish with rod and reel or trot lines.
