It\u2019s always important to be conscientious of our surroundings and conserve our Earth\u2019s resources. But every year on April 22, better known as Earth Day, we get a special day to remind us about these things and celebrate our beautiful planet.<\/p>\n

The annual event, founded in 1970, promotes awareness and encourages respect for the Earth and its resources. It also marked the beginning of the modern environmental movement. Earth Day is a great time to show your appreciation for the land that provides us with food, opportunities for recreation, a place to build precious memories with our loved ones, and so much more!<\/p>\n

One of the best ways to be part of this global campaign is by owning land! Land ownership allows individuals to be great conservationists and good stewards of the Earth. One of the best parts of owning land is improving upon it and encouraging the natural ecosystem through careful and thoughtful property management. There’s nothing as rewarding as looking out at a field that was once barren, and seeing a new and teeming ecosystem beginning to take shape.<\/p>\n

So, if you have a property<\/a> of your own, make sure to spend Earth Day on it! A great way to spend the day is by taking a walk through your property with your family and identifying the types of trees and plants on your land. Pack your lunch and take it with you for a nice picnic outside during your search.<\/p>\n

Here are other ways you can celebrate on your property:<\/p>\n

  1. Plant a garden<\/li>\n
  2. Birdwatch<\/li>\n
  3. Stargaze<\/li>\n
  4. Start a compost<\/li>\n
  5. Mountain bike<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
