This legislation is a huge step for the movement in the United States as it protects Colorado farmers\u2019 right to diagnose and repair issues in farm equipment such as <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalland.com\/blog\/differences-between-john-deere-tractor-models\/\">tractors<\/a>, combines, and more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s dive into the right-to-repair movement\u2019s history in the United States, as well as what the Consumer Right to Repair Agriculture Equipment Act could mean for the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>What is the Right to Repair Movement?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The consumer\u2019s right to repair has been an ongoing debate in the United States for some time now but gained significant notoriety in 2010 when farmers and small repair shops started to petition for the ability to fix various kinds of farm equipment and devices to be protected. As the movement has grown, they\u2019ve begun requesting governmental legislation that would protect the consumer\u2019s right to repair the equipment and devices that they\u2019ve purchased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Massachusetts introduced the first legislation in 2012, though this legislation applied only to automobiles.
