Located in Hyde County, NC, roughly 30 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean, sits the breathtaking Roper Island. Spanning an unbelievable 8,263 acres, Roper Island is one of the few remaining hunting properties of this size that has been largely untouched by development or human intervention. Accessible only by boat, the term \u201cremote\u201d barely begins to describe the feeling of standing in the middle of what many refer to as the \u201cAmazon of the East Coast.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surrounded by nearly 25 miles of water frontage, Roper Island offers unparalleled seclusion and hunting opportunities. This is a true outdoorsman\u2019s tract, home to ravenous 700-pound black bears, wild hogs, deer, turkeys, and a variety of other wildlife. It\u2019s the kind of place an avid hunter goes when looking to test their mettle against the untamed forces of nature. When asked what makes Roper Island so special, Aaron Sutton<\/a> stated, \u201cIt\u2019s 8,000 acres of raw, natural forest. I\u2019ve never worked with any property quite like Roper Island, it is true wilderness. It\u2019s not the right property for everyone, but for the genuine outdoorsman, it is paradise.\u201d Aaron went on to describe the sale of Roper Island; stating, \u201cThis was a big achievement, it\u2019s something that I had worked on for a very long time.
