It is! Why?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Information from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usda.gov\/\" class=\"broken_link\">USDA<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nass.usda.gov\/\">NASS<\/a> indicate that Minnesota\u2019s cropland values rose 9.8% from 2020 to 2021; Iowa\u2019s cropland rose 8.9% during that time period; Nebraska\u2019s cropland escalated into double-digits at a 13.8% increase. These increases are almost at the 2011-2013 levels or higher.<\/li>\n<li>Buyers can take advantage of continued historic low interest rates and lenders have money they want to lend.<\/li>\n<li>From a market standpoint, USDA projects higher corn commodity prices due to smaller production and tighter supplies in the US. In addition, Brazil has noted severe negative impacts to its second corn crop due to drought, frost, and other negative environmental impacts.<\/li>\n<li>Cash rents are anticipated to rise in the future based on these rising cropland values.<\/li>\n<li>There is demand for agricultural land with little inventory to meet demand.<\/li>\n<li>There is a demographic shift underway with children coming back to the farm which results in the need to add more land to support an additional family.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are just some of the \u201cwhy\u2019s\u201d in consideration of selling your land at this point in time.
